Lee Mount - 7th October

Not much doing this week, other than a Common Marbled Carpet, with the weather as it is... but this moth this morning was worthwhile.
 Blair's Shoulder-knot

I did check it against the possibility of Grey Shoulder-knot but think it's Blair's. I noticed as well that the abdomen underneath had quite a pink tinge about it as described in the Waring/Townsend and Lewington Filed Guide.

Nice shots David. The other thing I noticed about Blair's SK, is that two thirds of the way down the wings, a little closer to the costa that the centre, is a pinkish-orange patch. They
are clearly visible on the second photo.
