The patch of Ragwort at the northern end of Fly flatts was busy with moths this afternoon. 25 + Haworths Minor , 5 Antler , 4 Square Spot Rustic and 3 Ear moth sp.....lots of other moths flying over the moor but ran out of time....

The patch of Ragwort at the northern end of Fly flatts was busy with moths this afternoon. 25 + Haworths Minor , 5 Antler , 4 Square Spot Rustic and 3 Ear moth sp.....lots of other moths flying over the moor but ran out of time....

Yes well worth a look , a few micros flying about as well.....You had any butterflies ..??
Yes, just a few, mainly Speckled Woods and a few Small Copper and Small Heaths on Hunter Hill. I will post list on the blog later.
Seems fly flatts is better late afternoon
mmmm that's a thought... no sunshine up there this morning either and the ragwort flowers are fading fast unfortunately.
