Wider Countryside Butterfly Survey today. 10 x 200 m sections. Weather started off well with it being hot with full sun but it clouded over and the butterflies tailed off. Probably went to hide in the long dry grasses as the wind increased too.
Not a bad return though - 81 individuals of only six species.

Also found a few moths including Brown Silver-lines, Beautiful Golden Y and this True Lover's Knot below nectering on brambles.
One Broad-bodied Chaser on the pond at Skirden Clough
