Dark Green Fritillary
Spotted on Kennel Lane up above the Alma Inn this morning on thistle, I am 99% certain thats what it was as I have seen them in North Wales. It kept getting buzzed by a Small Tortoiseshell so was not still long enough for a photo, will try again later and tomorrow. Do you want a GR for this Andy ?

thanks Paul..DGF are still a great sighting , this is the 3rd this year and the 10th in the last 5 years .....so they are on the increase...keep an eye out for Silver washed Fritillary ,,,
