Took a walk up Luddenden Valley to Jerusalem Farm on Saturday. Not so many butterflies
Speckled Wood x 2
Peacock x 1(very worn and ragged)
Large White x 3
Small Skipper x 1
Checked out the pond at the end of the campsite - it was alive with life! lots of tadpoles, beetles etc. but the thing that caught my eye was the number of coupled common red damselfly laying eggs. well over 50 pairs and in one small area I counted 10 pairs in a square metre, worth a look on a sunny day if you are in the area.
