First Small Tortoiseshell

Had my first Small Tortoiseshell flying around the  garden today  at Northowram.........and 5 Tortricodes alternella flying in sunshine in the local  wood......3 Chestnut , 2 Dotted Border and 5 Agonopterix Heracliana  at Cromwell bottom/..,,,next few days look interesting

Very nice. Nothing doing in the crags, lovely warm sunshine, but nothing in flower other than a willow but I couldn't find anything on it. Another day !!
I guess gardens are the best bet.

What's the Calderdale numbers of species target for 2019 ?

It would be nice to get Essex Skipper sorted and pin down a regular site for Dark green fritillary........if its as good as last year we are in for a treat....
