Mint Moth

Never seen this one before. It was in our garden on Catmint flower and I think it may be a Mint Moth--Pyrausta aurata. Can someone confirm? Lovely and daintily coloured.

Very Likely Pyrausta aurata but depending how rigorous a recorder is Pyrausta aurata and Pyrausta purpuralis are hard to distinguish on forewing characteristics alone to separate these two tiny but common day-flying species Hindwing detail as well as a few other factors see link (purpalis hindwing) can then be asserted absolutely Variance on forewing markings can mean some look quite similar although to be honest the majority are discernible visually apparent with more broken colour seen on purpalis . found also in the grounds of Shibden Hall were mints are planted
