Hibernating Moths and Butterflies

22 Heralds in bare Head Tunnel today along with 5 Peacocks. A small tortoiseshell flying around the house yesterday and a Peacock flying around St Judes Church last Monday. ..carnt post pics at the moment...grrrrrr

Nice one Andy, keep an eye out for those Tissues! Bare Head tunnel is a great little micro-climate and well worth a visit if you need a moth fix during the the winter. Better still, if you have a cave or tunnel near where you live have a look inside, you may be surprised at what you find.
Obviously a common sense approach is needed and only enter if you're absolutely sure it's safe to do so.
