I decided to put the image of this moth here for no other reason, than it struck me as being so attractive. I don't know why it impressed me, when I've seen plenty before. It's the difference between looking and seeing, I suppose.

Yes very smart the banded form and not as common as the non banded form..feeds on bedstraws , docks and Dandelions...
Indeed Andy, last year I had one Banded Riband Wave. Mind you, I only had three non banded, not a great record.
So far this year, I've had one banded and one non banded, still there is time for a few more yet.
