Fly Flats

Haworth's Minor - I thought they were well finished but found 6 on ragwort again this morning at the northern end. Some bees too were clinging on to the last remnants of summer at 9c and a NW windchill. 1 Silver Y and 2 Small Tortoiseshell as well on the ragwort was unexpected in the conditions though the sun was shining !

Fly Flats

This afternoon with Nick (and it was cold up there in the northerly)! we found 18 Haworth's Minors still feeding on ragwort (11 were on one plant) at the northern end along with a few bees and a bonus with a single Ear Moth again on the ragwort.

Ogden

I found this along the footpath behind the reservoir lodge this afternoon. Looks like a Fox Moth caterpilllar which had probably been fairly recently trodden on along the footpath - with some of the tail end missing. SE06558 30559.
