Moth ID please

Hi, this is my first post on this site. I had a Veneer of some sort yesterday,  on the wall by our door, it's a bit of a gathering place for moths. I thought it was a Garden Grass Veneer Chrysoteuchia culmella at first. It does not have the grey/silver band near the tip of it's wings. I've looked thought Manley's 2nd edition and on the net. I'm stumped. Could anyone help please? Thank you.

I was just having a sarny outside at lunchtime when I spotted this little gem nectering on Verbena flowers in the planters. It was just there about half a minute at the most but fortunately I did have the camera to hand (that was in case a Red Kite went over !!). Just managed 3 quick shots below.

Swales Moor yesterday 11th August

Along Ringby Lane. Very windy conditions bit I did manage a Red Admiral - record shots as I couldn't keep the camera still in the wind. It was trying to find shelter hence the shot with the closed wings.

My first Painted Lady for 2016 today.

Cooler  at 10c with a breeze with some shelter in the garden and some cloud

 Not sure about this small Pug (wing length 10mm)

This is the same pug as above. (The colour looks different, from the flash I think, but it is the same - in reality it did look grey rather than brownish)

Saturday 6th August

A record here with 39 Large Yellow Underwings in the trap this morning + there were a few others flying about when I shut the light off at 23:30 so there may have been up to 45 (?).
Nothing new with the usual recent moths plus a single Phoenix

Lee Mount - Friday 5th August

Two I have been struggling with from Friday night - this first one took some working out going through the rustics etc I don't know why but have not seen too many of these before - but think it must be Lesser Yellow Underwing x  2  on Friday and  wre larger than a nearby Six-striped Rustic

This micro above is also baffling me (wing length 14mm) and have looked at Mecyna flavalis but the location, away from the south coast, is rare. Then maybe European Corn-borer Ostrinia nubilalis is a possibility ? There seem to be few of these type that look quite similar !

Hi All .
         Been away in France for the last couple of weeks so will try and comment on the mass of posts while ive been away.. White Satin Moth is a good local record and Light Arches is a good one to pick out at this time of year with all the Dark Arches in the trap..We have a new member Gordon Jackson and he is a good friend of Charlie and Colin so we look forward to his posts.....Cheers
