Moth ID please

Hi, this is my first post on this site. I had a Veneer of some sort yesterday,  on the wall by our door, it's a bit of a gathering place for moths. I thought it was a Garden Grass Veneer Chrysoteuchia culmella at first. It does not have the grey/silver band near the tip of it's wings. I've looked thought Manley's 2nd edition and on the net. I'm stumped. Could anyone help please? Thank you.

Hi Andy, thank you. I'm sorry, that is the best of the six shots I took. It was half way up the wall. I only got the photos by holding the camera above my head, at arms length and using the rotating screen. The sun was in my eyes, it being 7:30 am. I wasn't sure they were in focus even. Sorry about that.

By the way. I've had the "normal" Willow Beauty and a couple of days later, the pale form of it. There seem to be quite a few pale ones about just now.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I did consider Agriphila straminella, but all the images I saw of it seemed very pale and erm.. smooth, rather then the scaly texture on my sample. Mind you, 7 times out of 10, mine look nothing like any in the books or websites, even allowing variable forms. No wonder I'm confused.

Hi Gordon, a tricky one that from that angle - have you thought about buying selfie-stick :-)

A selfi-stick, me! I laughed when I read that Charlie. You've seen how much I shake sometimes, it would look as if I was in an earthquake, it was hard enough to keep it steady without an 18 inch to two foot long tube on the end of my hand. Hehehehe
