never tried it! although I have searched Sallow catkins and Ivy blooms for Moths with great success.
We (Andy / Me / Charlie S) have searched Sallow catkins with no success whatever!

You should have a go Benny boy,just warm and mix sugar beer and dark treacle and paste it on a few trees in your local wood.You will get good results.Read Tutt practical hints for the field lepidopterist.A lot of his finds were with sugar before the invention of MV light traps.
