Quite literally with this little star. At 5mm it's one of the smallest of the caloptilias, it's an Azalea Leaf Miner. This "very rare" Yorkshire moth was netted in my garden after dusk, as was another first for myself below.

If anyone wants any moths dissecting but can't be bothered sending them off to a proper expert I'd be more than happy to "have a go" at them - no guarantees though :-)

Nice one Charlie there is a good selection Gracillariidae at Cunnery I had a few good takes but no Gens to date
Might be good to do some Copper / Svens Underwings to see if can prove that Copper Underwings are in Calderdale,,??

If anyone has anything needing gen detting you could save them up for later and I can do them all together, whichever suits. It's a really fascinating branch of mothing once you get in to it, it gives you a whole new insight in to ID-ing tricky species. Cuts out a lot of head scratching!
