Cat found today on Birch ??

Plutella porectella(nearly mistook this for diamond backed moth)

I saw my first porectella after I'd been mothing for about a month and had it down as a caddisfly for another 6 months before I realised that it was a moth!

Any luck with the possible Water Veneer Andy?

CF said it was a Water Veneer as well so its looking good,I think they are quie widespread in Yorkshire now.?

Just a wee bit more likely than my wild suggestion, no doubt a whole lot bigger too!..By the way Andy, still operating the light trap and keeping a record though very little has turned up in it recently.
