Cunnery Wood meadow

Had a walk through the meadow above the pond at Cunnery Wood this morning.

Speckled Wood
Small Skipper
Large Skipper
Ringlet
Meadow brown
Chimney sweeper

Also bird cherry ermine in abundance on the path down to the pond.

Going to keep my eye on that meadow, I thought there would be more around especially the chimney sweepers. Nice to see the skippers and they do like to sit there so you can see their antenna. What was surprising was no whites at all. Normally they are a long the woodland edge bit nothing.

One other thing was the woodland were alive with bird song and there must have been national jackdaw fledging day as they were everywhere.
