Very nice! Had our first Peach Blossoms at Flamborough over the weekend, not in the same league maybe but still a cracking moth!
Hi Andy
Just to show what the moffing is like here on the Llyn. Our friend Susie who lives just up the lane from us had 25+ Elephant Hawks, 12 Lime Hawks, 17 Eyed Hawks and 4 Popular Hawks in her MV trap on Saturday night. How on earth they all fitted in amongst the rest of the catch is beyond me !
Fantastic ..got any photos for us poor sods in Halifax
Hi Andy
No mate sorry. She emailed me this morning with the catch details. We do have loads (and I mean shed loads) of Lackey caterpillars in their larval webs on all the blackthorn hedges in the area. I never recorded this in Calderdale so it may be worth looking for the webs on Hawthorn this year ?
