Norland moor again......

On the way there three mines and oval cut-outs of Phylloporia bistrigella were found on Silver Birch....No. 500 for me in Calderdale :-)

Another new species for me in Calderdale was this Fox Moth larva munching on Heather on the moor. A second was seen close by.

A couple of you may be interested that when I was browsing the YNU report for 2016 I noticed that the bagworms found at Stainland last year have been promoted to the first and only record for Yorkshire. The single, previous record is unsubstantiated :-)

Well done on reaching 500 Charlie.... and counting. A long way to go for me yet to reach that number.
Great news on The Fox Moth cat's - time to check Ogden golf course in the next few weeks for them.
