Lee Mount - 15th May..etc..

Nothing much doing here at all this last week - too cold !
This morning
Shuttle-shaped Dart x 1
V-Pug x 1
Hebrew Character x 1

Cold Edge today
Green Hairstreak x 3 but only singles found on heather - they were just sitting there in the cold first thing this morning
Orange-tip male x 1
Green-veined White x 3
Small Tortoiseshell x 1

Common Heath x 10 but they were hard to find as well. Maybe later in the day would have found better numbers !

Also one from this morning at Cold Edge (the head looks a bit odd with the dead heather branch behind) - sent it to CF suggesting Clepsis senecionana
Charlie supports this conclusion   "it's probably an under recorded moth in the county"

Clepsis senecionana , i see Charlie has them as common on Norland moor ,but i dont think these are on the data base yet. Also MBr sent me a photo of one the other day at Midgley and I had 2 on Erringden Moor the other day...thanks Dave that has sorted that one out.....
