Swales Moor

Along Ringby Lane and on the top mid morning - wow it was hot today !

Target butterfly was Wall Brown and I wasn't disappointed, though it took some searching for. Ended up with two together chasing about but getting a half decent shot when they wouldn't stay still for long was a challenge.

Great records in the heat Dave, last year first Wall was on the 24th and Small Heath on the 23rd so nice and early. 15 species so far this May and 15 in the whole of May last year..next couple of days look cold but should get better after that ,,, Common Blue by the end of the month ......
