Soil Hill - Fox Moths
Evening visit with Andy - perfect conditions and plenty of activity with these low flying erratic missiles. 45+ was our guesstimate with an excellent male caught by Andy. Don't know how he managed that, but he did !

Nice shots Dave .....so busy up there with male Fox Moths all over the hill, The main concentration was on the west facing slope between 20.07 (first one seen) and 21.10 aprox,,I am sure the warm temps and calm conditions were ideal for this species.....
Talking of Fox Moths 1 to light here in Rishworth...
Male Orange Tip , 4 Small Tortoiseshells and Ancylis badiana and also a small colony of torts to be identified...on billberry/gorse.
