Around the dams this morning starting off in wall to wall sunshine then 8/8 cloud cover within an hour.

Just a few bits and pieces on the way round.

Silver-ground Carpet x 2 but looking very worn

Pretty sure there was a Pinion-streaked Snout - but where has my picture gone ? this new blog seems to be playing tricks !!!!

Cinnabar caterpillars on ragwort - just around a dozen

2 Small Skippers was all I could find

Plenty Small Tortoiseshell along with a decent clump of caterpillars on Common Nettle 

Ah - found it ! (Pinion-streaked Snout I think - just a bit faded) though I was a bit surprised to see this species up there!

Still a few Ringlets looking a bit worn, several Meadow Brown and Peacock, Large/Small and Green-veined Whites.
