I shut the trap down last night at 11:30, forecast as it was, but I reckon I could have left it on !

Large Yellow Underwing x 1

Eudonia lacustrata x 4

Blastobasis adustella  x 4. 

It amazes me sometimes how moths survive. I keep finding several Blastobasis ad. in the bird bath, usually upside down but not always. I fish them out thinking they are dead, put them on a leaf to dry out and they are gone. 

This next moth, I found in the trap, it looked quite deformed. How did it fly to get in the trap in that condition ? It didn't move as I lifted it out, then I left it in an egg carton. It went before the day was out.

It took me a while to decide between Lychnis and Campion though on the left wing, top picture there still looks to be  a hint of purple so I'm going for Campion
