Hag Lane ( back of the ski slope overlooking Shibden Valley

At last - we found  a Gatekeeper - they seem so scarce up this end of Halifax uplands.

One 'Blue' evaded recognition as it flew off away from a hedgerow and across the fields. Looked white at first until we got the 'bins' on it -

Green-veined White x 4

Cinnabar x 1 ...and 12 caterpillars on Ragwort
