OK so we know its the commonest hawkmoth (?) and have seen one before but its our first up here in Midgley and we're dead chuffed!

Nice moth Nick. I had one a couple of years ago at Jerusalem Farm. It was sat on the door frame to the gents toilets and had an entire school group pass it without noticing (or screaming at) it.
