Stainland.

This little moth was on the door last night, it's still here. I struggle with this species, I think it may be a Eudonia lacustrata. I'm open to correction. It's another moth taken from 10, or perhaps 12 feet away. Not a great photo.

They are a tricky lot to be sure. Often impossible to id down to species level without some guess work !

Dave, it was a certain amount of educated guess work, which lead me to think it was Eudonia lacustrata. As you say, the whole family of these is a difficult one.
